Katelin Thomas
Katelin is a diligent and imaginative Part 2 Architectural Assistant. She joined James Clague Architects in 2022 and completed her master’s at Cardiff University in 2019 where she graduated with a First-Class Honours. Katelin has gained experience in ecclesiastical, education and residential sectors during her time at respective Kent based practices.
Throughout her studies and time in practice Katelin has developed a keen interest in sustainability and design for the climate crisis. She appreciates a hands-on approach to design having previously volunteered at various projects including the bamboo construction focused Dwelling in Symbiosis, based in Medellín, and a local Earthship build.
Katelin is excited to further cultivate her interests in a heritage setting. She firmly believes that restoring and repurposing existing buildings is key to creating a more sustainable built environment, not only through lessening the environmental weight of the construction industry but also through social sustainability of reinvigorating a local community.
